Possession Of A Controlled Substance Charge Dismissed For Detroit Woman

Nov 18, 2015, by Martin Drias in Case Results, Criminal Defense, Drug Crimes

A 26-year-old Detroit woman with a clean record was arrested under a drug possession charge after officers found her fiancé’s drugs. The illegal substances, though not technically hers, were found in her house, thus resulting in her charge. Looking to maintain a spotless record, the woman called criminal defense attorney Martin Drias for sound legal representation.

Our client came to us overwhelmed with concern. She knew this charge carried the potential to negatively affect her career at a large Michigan casino. A conviction of this charge would also mean being unable to tend to her young children at home. Drias Law Group PLLC was able to successfully secure a dismissal of the drug possession charge. As a result, the status of our client’s employment was not impacted and she was able to continue caring for her children.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
