Solicitation Charges Dismissed For A Man In Detroit

Mar 16, 2016, by Martin Drias in Case Results, Sex Crimes

In Detroit, MI a 23-year-old man, working as a dealer at a local casino was as recently charged with solicitation of a prostitute, which can be quite stressful and embarrassing. Allegedly, the young man propositioned an undercover officer for sexual favors in exchange for money; however, the man claimed this interaction did not occur. After being arrested, the man was worried about his reputation in addition to the stiff consequences in Michigan for solicitation, which may include up to 45 days in jail and possible registration as a sex offender, so he needed the discrete and skillful legal representation of Michigan’s Drias Law Group.

Attorney Martin Drias effectively worked on his client’s behalf to mitigate the sensitive situation. Attorney Davis knew that solicitation cases built upon the police’s interpretation of monetary exchanges for sexual favors may not hold up to scrutiny, which led to the solicitation charges being ultimately dismissed. This result greatly pleased our client, who has happy to have his name cleared and could move past this unfortunate incident.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
